Dr. Julie Howard began her career in health care in 1994 after becoming licensed as a practical nurse. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Lincoln, NE at St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center in general care areas while pursuing her bachelor's degree in nursing. She completed her degree in 1997 and then passed her State Boards to become a Registered Nurse also in 1997. She worked in the Burn Center in St. Elizabeth's for many years after becoming registered. She also worked in various other areas of nursing including: ICU, ER, medical/surgical care, OB/Gyn, postpartum, and office nursing. She also taught clinical classes for Southeast Community College on a couple of occasions.
Dr. Howard chose to extend her career into Chiropractic in 2001 when she chose to enroll in Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. She attended Palmer College and graduated in 2004. After graduating, she chose to wait to open her own practice for a while and instead worked as an associate in Norfolk, NE. In January of 2006, Dr. Howard chose to open LifeArts - Howard Chiropractic at its current location in Plattsmouth, NE. After opening her practice, Dr. Howard continued to extend her knowledge by achieving a Certification in Acupuncture in 2006; and a Certification in Nutrition and Wellness Counseling in 2007.
Dr. Howard enjoys her practice in Plattsmouth and looks forward to many more years in this community.
